Dove & Oscar Winner Matthew A. Cherry Want Kids to Embrace Their Natural Hair!

Hair care is self-care, Real Fam!
On today’s episode of “The Real,” we were joined by talented writer/director/producer Matthew A. Cherry — the filmmaker behind the 2019 Oscar-winning film “Hair Love” and the new television series “Kings of Napa.”
In his acclaimed short film, father Steven adorably styles the hair of his 7-year-old daughter Zuri. The movie not only depicts the love that Black fathers have for their children, it shows the importance of kids embracing their natural hair.
That’s why Matthew partnered with Dove to create the new Dove Kids Care Hair Love line, specially designed for children to enhance the natural beauty of curls, coils, and waves.
Made with shea butter and coconut oil, the line — consisting of moisturizing shampoo, nourishing conditioner, 2n1 detangler and refreshener, and styling curl cream — is sulfate-free, has no parabens or phthalates in formulation, and is dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic, tear-free, and crafted for naturally textured hair.
With these products, children can embrace their natural and unique texture and give their hair an extra dose of care with every wash!
