In a statement from Raúl Martinez, Victoria Secret’s chief creative director, the new collection “is a major moment in the brand’s evolution.”
“From the cast of incredible women that bring the collection to life, to the incredible inclusive spirit on set, this campaign is an important part of the new Victoria’s Secret standard we are creating,” Martinez said.
After beginning her modeling career in 2019 in Puerto Rico, Jirau made her debut at New York Fashion Week the next year when she walked the runway for designer Marisa Santiago.
“When I was little, I looked myself in the mirror and said, ‘I’m going to be a model and a businesswoman,’” she told People at the time.
Per the outlet, Jirau also has her own line, Alavett, a name based on how she says, “I love it.”
The brand, which she describes as her “shout of joy,” sells items including shirts, wallets, mugs, and phone cases.
Congratulations to Sofía on your well-deserved accomplishment!
