Good Samaritan Gets into Food Fight with Walgreens Thief! WATCH!

A robbery at a San Francisco Bay Area Walgreens turned into a food fight after a Good Samaritan tried to document the thief’s crimes!
As reported by ABC7 last week, professional photographer Nicholas Stennet filmed an incident at a Richmond District Walgreens on Tuesday in which a man is seen behind the counter filling up a bag with retail goods as one employee appears to call authorities and another helplessly watches.
"We have this person that is... taking everything from the counter," the female employee says in her call.
According to Stennet, the man appears to possibly steal items including “some COVID tests, a tray of batteries, some electronics."
When one customer tries to film the attack, the suspect is seen on video knocking the phone out of the man’s hand.
After the same customer tries to intervene, the suspect tells him, “What, you want to go?” before grabbing a bunch of bananas and hurling them at the Good Samaritan.
"There's bananas blazing everywhere!" Stennet recalled.
Though the customer tries to fight back, reaching for more bananas, a store employee says, "No, no, no, no!” However, the customer ends up throwing fruit at the thief.
"[The suspect] then comes back with some Chips Ahoy to throw back at him!" Stennet says, referencing how the suspect threw snack items at the customer before leaving the store.
As of this writing, it is unclear if the suspect has faced any consequences for his actions.
As TMZ points out, there have been a number of drugstore robberies in recent days in which thieves have brazenly shoplifted merchandise. However, many employees and security guards are unable or disallowed to intervene due to store policy.
As reported by The San Francisco Chronicle last year, Walgreens said retail theft in San Francisco was five times the chain average, and that security costs were 46 times the chain average.
