‘Love & Hip Hop’ Alum Apple Watts Reportedly Undergoes Neck Surgery After Crash

Apple Watts is reportedly on the mend after suffering injuries from a car crash last week in Baker, California.
On Wednesday, sources told TMZ that the “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” alum reportedly underwent a successful neck surgery on Tuesday night and can breathe on her own. Insiders say she is still getting oxygen though, in hopes that it will help her healing process.
However, sources say she still has not opened her eyes and is unable to verbally communicate.
Last week, police say the VH1 personality was traveling on northbound I-15 from Las Vegas when her black Mercedes and a Ford F250 pickup truck collided, causing her car to flip multiple times and burst into flames.
After she was pulled to safety by a passenger in the pickup truck, she was life-flighted to University Medical Center in Nevada with “major injuries.”
While sources told TMZ that the accident caused her to have two breaks in her neck, a shattered arm, and a brain injury, Apple’s sister told The Shade Room last week that she has also suffered a broken spine.
As of this writing, the cause of the accident has not been determined and it is not known if drugs or alcohol played a role.
Last week, a family friend told The Shade Room that Apple may be unable to do everyday functions such as walking and feeding herself due to her injuries.
Despite this, TMZ says her friends, family, and doctors are hopeful she will one day make a full recovery.
In addition to appearing on Seasons 5 and 6 of “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood,” Apple has starred in several music videos, including Future’s “Wicked.”
