Barack Obama Returns to the White House!

Five years after leaving office, former president Barack Obama has made his triumphant return to the White House!
On Tuesday, the 44th president of the United States spoke to press alongside current President — and his former Vice Present — Joe Biden, along with current Vice President Kamala Harris, to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare.
"It feels like the good old days," President Biden acknowledged.
"It is good to be back in the White House. It's been a while," Obama said, before joking, "I confess I heard some changes have been made by the current President since I was last here. Apparently, Secret Service agents have to wear aviator sunglasses now. The Navy Mess has been replaced by a Baskin-Robbins. And there's a cat running around."
On a serious note, Obama and Biden spoke about the Affordable Care Act’s legacy, which, among its many accomplishments, improved the quality of health care while limiting costs.
“It’s because of you,” Biden said to Obama, noting that the law “shows hope leads to change.”
“The ACA was an example of why you run for office in the first place,” Obama said, calling it the “high point of my time here.”
At the event, Biden signed an executive order directing federal agencies to expand the availability and quality of affordable health care.
“We can do this. We should do this. We have to do this,” Biden said, acknowledging that although the law has been given many names, “Obamacare is the most fitting.”
Though it has faced challenges through the years, last June, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act for the third time in “California v. Texas,” which examined the constitutionality of the law.
Ultimately, on a 7-2 decision, the highest court in America ruled that Texas and other states were not required to pay anything under the mandate provision and thus had no standing to bring the challenge to court. Additionally, SCOTUS ended up not ruling on the constitutionality of the act.
Following this verdict, Obama celebrated the decision, tweeting, “Today, the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act. Again. This ruling reaffirms what we have long known to be true: the Affordable Care Act is here to stay.”
