‘Making the Band’ Star Arrested for Sex Trafficking

Rapper and “Making the Band” alum Chopper has been arrested for sex trafficking as authorities have accused him of being a pimp.
On Monday, TMZ reported that the MTV personality was arrested earlier this month in Maryland and that he is being extradited to Nevada to face sex trafficking charges in Las Vegas.
Per legal documents obtained by the outlet, a Nevada undercover vice detective who was posing as a sex worker say they received an Instagram direct message from Chopper with an alleged opportunity to make money through prostitution.
While going through the musician’s Instagram, the detective noticed several alleged posts related to prostitution and pimping, including one pic in which Chopper is on a plane.
"Sending em," the alleged post read, along with a money bag and a crown emoji.
After the detective launched an investigation of a potential sex trafficking operation, the authority called Chopper who allegedly bragged about his frequent travel, having seven homes, and saying that Las Vegas was not a safe place to do business because law enforcement was cracking down.
Additionally, the detective alleges that Chopper told them in a phone interview that he would make them part of his "team" and "stable."
However, the undercover says Chopper reportedly became aggressive with them over the phone and spoke to them in a way that a pimp might speak to a sex worker. Chopper also reportedly told the detective to pack their belongings, get to the airport, and meet him in Charlotte, North Carolina, to join his "stable."
After the official stalled the conversation by telling Chopper that they were scared to leave home,
Chopper allegedly tried to verbally force them to make the trip and demanded a $2,000 fee.
With all of this in mind, the undercover says there was enough evidence to arrest and charge Chopper with felony sex trafficking.
As of this writing, neither Chopper nor his representatives have spoken out about the matter. It is also unclear if he has entered a plea or has retained an attorney.
