Soap Star Announces Pregnant Wife’s Child ‘Is Not Mine’

Steve Burton has announced that he is separating from his pregnant wife Sheree, who is carrying a child that “is not mine.”
Wednesday on Instagram Story, the “General Hospital” alum revealed that he and Sheree are no longer together after 23 years of marriage.
“I wanted to clear something up,” he wrote, adding, “Sheree and I are separated.”
The actor also revealed that Sheree’s fourth child “is not mine,” but that the two will continue co-parenting their children: daughters Makena, 18, and Brooklyn, 7, and son Jack, 16.
“She recently announced that she’s expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.”
Per People, the two tied the knot in 1999 after meeting on the set of “General Hospital.”
According to a “General Hospital” fan blog, Sheree announced her fourth pregnancy by posting a photo of her baby bump on IG Story.
“Life sure is full of surprises!” she captioned.
Last November, Steve was let go from “General Hospital” for not complying with the show’s coronavirus vaccine mandate.
At the time, People confirmed that Steve filmed his last episode in October.
“I know there’s been a lot of rumors and speculations about me and ‘General Hospital.’ I wanted you to hear it from me personally,” he said in a November video posted to his IG page.
“Unfortunately, ‘General Hospital’ has let me go because of the vaccine mandate. I did apply for my medical and religious exemptions, and both of those were denied, which, you know, hurts.”
He continued, “But this is also about personal freedom to me. I don’t think anyone should lose their livelihood over this. But with that being said, you know me, I’ll always be grateful for my time at ‘General Hospital.’ I love it there.”
However, Steve has since booked another job and will reprise his “Days of Our Lives” role of Harris Michaels in the Peacock spin-off “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.” The second season premieres on July 11.
