Terrifying Video Shows Children Fleeing Gunfire at California Park

A horrific video that shows children fleeing a park in East Palo Alto, California, after hearing gunshots has surfaced.
In the terrifying clip that was recorded Tuesday and obtained by outlets including TMZ and KTVU on Wednesday, two young kids appear to be playing tag at Jack Farrell Park when gunshots ring out.
As seen in the video, the kids and their parents scream and run as the recording, which appears to be shot on a camera phone, begins to shake.
Per a press release on Tuesday, police say they responded to ShotSpotter activity at the park just after 6 p.m.
At the scene, they discovered a shooting victim on the 2500 block of Fordham Street. The victim later died in an ambulance while being transported to the hospital.
Officials add that two other shooting victims transported themselves to the Menlo Park Fire Protection District Firehouse, and were treated before being taken to the hospital.
Police say a fourth shooting victim was identified at a home on Fordham, but did not request further medical treatment.
It does not appear, however, that any children were harmed in the event.
Per KTVU on Wednesday, the man killed in the shooting has been identified as Ralph Fields Jr., the cousin of Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams.
Authorities say the shooting appeared to be targeted and involved two groups of people shooting at each other.
Overall, cops say around 33 gunshots were fired. Additionally, police did not say if Fields was one of the shooters.
"This was not a random act," Interim Police Chief Jeff Liu said at a press conference. "Shooting and violence, especially at our parks with kids playing is completely unacceptable. We need to come together as a community and send a message that this type of activity will not be tolerated."
Liu said police have not spoken to many witnesses despite the park reportedly being crowded. As of this writing, no arrests have been made.
Community leaders in the East Palo Alto area are asking witnesses to come forward.
