Lil' Kim Says Notorious B.I.G. Would Still Be ‘Funny, Fun, Handsome’ at Age 50

Lil’ Kim is honoring her former love and collaborator Notorious B.I.G. on what would have been his 50th birthday.
Last Friday, the “Crush on You” rapper hosted the 2nd Annual B.I.G. Dinner Gala at Guastavino's in New York City, honoring the legendary MC before his would-be 50th birthday.
While speaking to People at the event, Kim says Biggie would still be "funny, fun, handsome, fly crazy" if he was alive today.
"It's always important to honor the king. He's the king. The king lives on," Kim said, adding, "He's just an amazing person, amazing artist ... his legacy. It's just great. Like, I mean, look at the catalog. Look at everything that he's accomplished, even at such a young age."
The event also featured a special appearance from C.J. Wallace, Biggie’s son with singer Faith Evans, who said "it speaks volumes" to see all the people who turned out to uphold his father’s legacy.
"You know how deep the legacy lives on and you know how important it is to the family at the end of the day," C.J. said. "He has more than just his bloodline, he has a real distinct family of people that go beyond the grave."
"He was more than just a rapper, more than an artist. He was an educator, he was a poet, obviously a writer. He was a prophet. He was here to do more than just make some songs or record a couple of albums, which is at the end of the day, that's what he did. And he did way more than that in his spare time," he added.
After first meeting her as a teenager, Biggie invited Kim to join his group, Junior M.A.F.I.A., in 1994.
In 1996, while recording her debut album, Kim became pregnant with Biggie's child while he was still married to Faith. However, Kim decided to terminate the pregnancy.
A year later, Biggie was killed in a Los Angeles drive-by shooting at the age of 24, when C.J. was just 5 months old.
