Man Arrested for Allegedly Threatening to Blow Up Tyler Perry Studios

A man has been arrested after he allegedly contacted Tyler Perry’s studio in Georgia… and threatened to blow it up!
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, on May 13, a man named Coles Arrasheed called the studio’s main line and demanded to speak with the actor/writer/director/producer himself.
However, when the receptionist denied his request, he reportedly spoke in a nonsensical way.
In response, the receptionist reportedly hung up and blocked his number.
However, the employee eventually discovered an alleged voicemail from Arrasheed in which he threatened to blow the place up.
Police eventually tracked Arrasheed down, arrested him for making terroristic threats, and brought him in on a felony charge at Fulton County Jail.
TMZ says he has since been released on a $5K bond.
It is unclear if he has entered a plea or has retained an attorney.
Back in 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Perry opened his studios and donated 5,000 meals comprised of food boxes and gift cards to supermarket chain Kroger.
Per People magazine, the “Madea” star personally funded the event, which was titled “TPS Giving.”
"Tyler was heartbroken seeing people all over the country stand in line for food, so he decided he wanted to give back to his community in Atlanta," a source close to Perry told the outlet at the time.
"Hopefully this encourages others who are able to, to give back during the holiday season in a year that has been difficult for many.”
To avoid spread of COVID-19, the event was drive-thru only, and volunteers were tested beforehand and dressed in protective gear.
Per reports, cars lined up 12 hours prior to the start time, and the event ran out of food by 10 a.m.
