THIS WNBA Star Welcomed Her 1st Child!

Napheesa Collier just welcomed a possible future member of the WNBA!
On Friday, the Minnesota Lynx forward announced that she gave birth to her and fiancé Alex Bazzell’s first baby together, daughter Mila Sarah Bazzell!
In the cute snap, Collier adorably holds her bundle of joy while Bazzell — an NBA and WNBA skills coach — embraces his fiancée.
“Mila Sarah Bazzell made her way into the world 5•25•22 we are so in love,” they both wrote.

Back in November, the couple first shared their baby news in an interview with People.
“I have always wanted to be a mom,” Collier told the outlet.
While reflecting on their relationship, Bazzell said the two became more connected amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I think the most time we had spent together was really during the COVID pandemic. It allowed us to really be together in a sense of every single day, waking up, not really knowing what was going to happen with the world in general,” he said.
The pair first met when she was a senior in high school and soon after, Bazzell became her full-time trainer when she was a freshman athlete at the University of Connecticut.
After they started dating her junior year, the couple got engaged in October 2019.
During their sit-down, Bazzell admitted that the two always “had this vision of building a family.”
“We just didn’t know when that would take place or where that would take place, which I think we’re still juggling some of those questions,” he added. “But it’s like anything else, the sports environment prepares us for something like that. We’re adding one member to our team, and trying to figure out what’s best collectively for the team.”
While Collier admits that “everything is going to be different” after their daughter’s birth, she is confident she can juggle motherhood with basketball.
“I’m going to need to train just as hard. I’m going to have to train hard, but then I also have to get home to feed a baby,” she said. “It’ll definitely be a juggling and learning as I go kind of thing.”
Congratulations to Alex and Napheesa on your new addition!
